Dormant does not mean free from filing duties.

A company is generally dormant for Companies House when it has no significant accounting transactions during the financial year. Certain items—such as the original payment for subscriber shares, Companies House filing fees and late-filing penalties—are treated differently.

We confirm the period and transaction history, prepare the dormant accounts using the information supplied and submit them to Companies House. Dormancy for Corporation Tax is a separate HMRC question, so the company should not assume one status automatically proves the other.
